Regarding RSE:
Custom F Gloves have MP+4, which could be better than nothing. (Edit: Honestly, it appears to be the best +MP on a hand slot that I could reasonably acquire.)
Custom Pants have MP+32 and MND+3, so they're definitely getting used. Custom F Boots have MP+12, but MND-1. Still, I think the MP boost counteracts the -1, especially given the +3 from the RSE legs. Mannequin Pumps have the same amount of +MP and MND+2, so they're the better option here.

I will quietly interject my experience on this one for you folks. Party build (least, this was the plan ... I can't remember if we tweaked much before go-time ... the run took us late into the night):
Nimbex: WHM/sch
Klaital: WHM/xxx
Guppeh: WHM/xxx
Demandred: WHM/xxx (or SMN, my memory is sketchy)
Kireila: RDM/drk
Morlock: SAM/war
I apologize for not recalling all of the specific sub-jobs. Basically, we spaced out all of our people and let the NPC take the fight to the enemy. Kireila did an excellent job stunning the Mage-Enemy's nasty -ga stuff while the WHMs did shifts of curing the NPC. My role in this was to provoke the mage boss and try to keep the spells centered on me (thus minimizing impact to everyone else). After about 2 minutes into the engagement, the NPC held the hate on BOTH enemies such that my feeble vokes did nothing to shift hate.
The first run through could safely be called a dry run. We ran into trouble with a poorly times sleepga. Still, the strategy of letting the NPC carry the party through the fight generally can be considered sound. With our party build, the biggest challenge was actually getting up to the Throne Room, since any fighting we did, took a VERY long time.
The real lesson to take away from this is that 4 solid cure people + 1 1st class stunner = win.
Anyway, good luck on your run!!!!

We are back in action! The plan is to do WotG 37 on Wendesday the 23rd, gathering at 9PM Eastern/8PM Central/6PM Pacific. I've checked with everyone but Klaital on the time and will check in with him soon.
After this is done, I'll have to check out what the new nation quests entail. We may pick up a few more people and thus will want to switch to another night, but we'll work on scheduling that when we get there.

Quick reminder that WotG 37 is still on for tomorrow, gathering time approximately 6PM Pacific or whenever Beanie gets home from work. Check previous posts for your job assignment and battle strategy. Unfortunately there will be some fighting to get through Castle Zvahl[s].

Folks were asking me about quests homework last night. Now that I've had a chance to look over what they entail, here's my thoughts:
Bastok - Start the quest by talking to Gentle Tiger. That's it. Everything beyond that involves running around in Castle Zvahl[s], and that's darned hard to do without a group. Even though the first quest doesn't involve any fighting, you still have to get up to where the teleporters are. Also, I'm a bit confused about some of the particulars with the second quest, so I'm waiting for more information to become available. It looks like the best plan is to set aside a big chunk of time and do both quests in one session, since they both take place in Zvahl[s] and don't require you to zone out of the castle in between (you have to go from Keep to Baileys, but we can probably Escape and run back in; going through Baileys isn't too bad). Also, if you have an Elixir, hang on to it. If you don't have one, just hang on; the price-gouging right now is ludicrous, so we're better off waiting anyway. (Of course, now I wish I hadn't sold mine from a few quests ago. )
San D'Oria - Do all the CS leading up to the fight in Batallia[s]. Unfortunately, it's a lot of running around Xarcabard[s], but I think it's doable. We may be able to combine the fight in the first quest and everything in the second quest into a single session, as they sort of flow into each other.
Windurst - Get all the CS up to the point where you need to farm the keys. We'll have some key-farming sessions before scheduling the actual fight for the first quest. Whether or not we try to knock out that and the second quest in a single night depends on how hard it is to climb Castle Oz[s], as while both BCs take place there, you have to get a CS in Meriphtaud[s] in between them.
Scheduling-wise, I need to consult with a few people about availability before firming up plans. If folks are feeling up to it, we could try key farming after Escort/Pirates this coming Monday. Waiting to do most of the work is not a bad thing, as right now there's not too much information on fight strategies.

Nif and I did a bunch of running around this weekend. Here's what we learned:
Windy
We got 9 keys in about an hour with competition (so the drop rate isn't horrible, but not 100% either). We were able to duo the mobs as WHM and NIN/THF for what it's worth. If there's farming competition we might want to head straight to the second floor. There are *lots* of key dropping mobs up there.
When it comes to key trading, it helps to have a spotter to tell you if it's safe to come out of CS. For the third key CS the last line is to the effect of "Let's go, my friends". (Lehko says it). If aggro is gotten it's completely killable. Nif and I were able to duo aggro, though it was harder than the key mobs. Just a matter of staying calm and taking it one step at a time o.ob
So we're up to the fight for Manifest Destiny.
Bastok
Bastok can kiss my tail. The Imps are in those damn gargoyle filled rooms. (Well, the Imps themselves aren't, but you have to pass through those rooms to get to the Imp rooms.) We only got as far as Rikke before we stopped.
EDIT: I should also mention I currently have 3 elixirs 'cause I'd kept my tank and emptied it. I'll need one for the quest (assuming I don't guess wrong) so I should have 2 extras.
Sandy
This one is the easiest in terms of prep, especially right now when there are lots of XP parties killing *everything*. I'd warn that there are dragon spawns by the H-8 and the H-6/7 spots just so you know. The "fight" itself was laughable. Nif and I took turns Cure V'ing with Nif doing bigger cure bombs than me :( We haven't done the Face of the Future CSs yet, but those just look like even more running back and forth.

It looks like the FI group is full, but I've gotten the pre-reqs for the post-update new nation quests done, as far as I can solo (These are really best done with companions. I ate about 11 reraises and two homepoints soloing the pre-reqs).
For Bastok, that means I'm done up to the Spoiler: Imps and Gargouille Warden fight in Castle Zvahl Keep-S. If anyone's doing this last pre-req soon, I'd like to tag along, I'll probably get credit being in-alliance. For the other two nations, I'm ready with the BCNM entry key items.
Let me know if there's any spill-over or vacancies; there are some CTY people interested but not quite enough to make a party at this time.
Update: Found some other people interested in in the WoTG nation quests, enough to make a full party combined with folks on FI I've spoken with. However, school has started up again, so don't know when I'll have time to run the mission, unless I'm lucky enough to find time to hop on just when everyone happens to be online and free.
Edit: San d'Oria branch completed. Edit: Bastok branch completed.
